A large block entity with an office building is being designed for Pasila, Helsinki, in the old track yard area behind Tripla. The building architecture has three separate towers. The highest of them is 14 storeys. In addition to the office building, the block will also host residential structures, some business premises and a centralised parking garage. The plan of the building has been detailed with the aim to stand out from the current city plan. This has improved the office floor plans as well as the inner yard congeniality. The block part functions differ from each other but there is still a solid structural unity. This means challenging design work, which is not uncommon with this kind of compact city structure. Special attention is paid to the environmental aspects of the project. The designers work actively together with the commissioner and the people designing surrounding projects.
