Aviabulevardi II, located in the vicinity of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, Aviapolis business area, was completed at the end of November 2018. The facilities are designed to be flexible, customizable and suitable for various uses. They can be used as an office or a multifunctional space, or a combination of the two.
The 7-storey building is black and white in colour and the facades are predominantly glazed. The tall and narrow windows create an image of a piano keyboard. The rectangular shape of the building is broken up by the top three floors which have an orange border. The same orange colour is also present in the spectacular canopy at the main entrance, which is inspired by the unique shape of the wing of the Saab 35 Draken fighter jet. The building has other details inspired by the world of aviation including lines and lights on the floor of the lower lobby, which call to mind runway markings. The building’s graphic design also adapts to the runway theme.
