The Pajala industry and warehouse area near the Järvenpää city center will be transformed into a residential block. Work is set to start once the new city plan alterations come into effect. The residential block includes seven 7 and 8-storey high apartment buildings with 300 homes, common spaces and ground floor business premises. The buildings are bound into a solid, statuesque entity with a folded roof and house specific facade colors.
The yard functions and parking are centered on the common courtyard. Gardenlike enclaves, urban runoff delay systems and the vine carvings are an important part of the yard landscape. The green-roofed carports are placed on the outer limits of the block, which in turn supports the image of a lush, park-like entity.
