Pyynikin Trikoo, Koy Tampereen Pyynikin Vartija

Pyynikki Trikoo’s old industrial property, built early in the last century, is being modified into a high-end apartment hotel. The building will be finished during 2021 and will have 84 hotel rooms.

Kiinteistö Oy Tampereen Pyynikin Vartija consists of sections built in different eras. Most of the building was built in the 30s and newer parts during the 60s. After the industrial operations ended during 1980-90s the building gained a new use. The building is a protected part of the city plan, and therefore, saving the significant character that the building offers to the cityscape needs to be considered in renovation and refurbish work.

The exterior walls of the building are made with bricks and the pillars, midsole trusses, and the tiles are of concrete construction. Of the interior construction, only the supporting frame will be kept. The space will be converted into different sized hotel rooms with a central aisle solution. Each room will have its own kitchen area, sitting area and bedroom which are divided with furniture. In addition to the hotel rooms, the building will have a restaurant, commercial space, and as an extension, a sauna department with its terrace. The brickwork parts of the facade will be refurbished, the yard deck will be renewed according to the landscape plan, and the south side of the restaurant will get a new terrace.
