Sámi museum Siida

Located in Inari, the Sámi Museum and Northern Lapland Nature Centre Siida is being renovated and expanded during 2020-2022. Siida will be expanded by half its size. Architects Soini & Horto is in charge of the main and architecture design of the project.

The Siida building, that opened in 1998, is being renewed to accommodate the increased demands and visitor numbers. The key developments of the project are the new exhibition space and the Museum Collections Unit and Nature Centre that technically and functionally meet the current needs. The 3000m2 project is being executed in phases.
